Ramiro Neves is an environmental scientist
and associated professor with Instituto
Superior Técnico, Lisbon. He has a BSc in
mechanical engineering and a PhD in
environmental engineering and has over 20
years experience in environmental
consulting. He has specialist knowledge of
environmental impact assessment in the
marine and coastal environment and has been
involved in the environmental assessment on
a range of major projects, including
estuarine euthrophication and other water
resources management. |

Dr. José Chambel Leitão
has a degree in Civil Engineering (1987 -
Technical University of Lisbon) and a Ph.D. in
Mechanical Engineering (1992 - Technical
University of Lisbon). Beyond his participation
in several consulting projects in which HIDROMOD
has been involved along the last 11 years, he
has been the main responsible for important
projects that are running in Brazil related with
mathematical modelling, oil dispersion and risk
assessment and field data programs.

Marcos Mateus has a degree in Marine Biology and

the past years he has worked as an environmental

Francisco J. Campuzano was
formed as an oceanographer at the University of
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain) and also
obtained a MSc in Estuarine and Coastal
Management and Science by the University of Hull
(U.K.). As a researcher has been involved in
European projects for the last four years in
different areas as assessing ecological status,
socio-economics and conceptual and numerical
modeling. He joined IST at the beginning of the
EcoManage Project in order to give support on
hydrodynamic modeling to the local partners.

Pedro Chambel Leitão is pursuing his PhD in
Environmental Engineering at IST, Portugal. Has
participated in many engineering and research
projects. Its mainly specialized in modeling
soil and watershed hydrodynamic and water
quality. In soil modeling he has developed and
applied a soil model in the MOHID system and has
applied other soil models. In watershed modeling
he has dedicated to the application of SWAT
model and he is a part of the developing team of
MOHID Land, the MOHID system watershed model.

Dr. Teresa Eira Leitão, is
a Research Officer, Geologist from the
Scientific and Technical University of Coimbra,
1988, Ph.D. in Hydrogeology, from the Faculty of
Science of the University of Lisbon, 1997.
Participation in 15 research project, 6 of them
being EU and international projects.
Coordination and/or co-coordination of 7 of
them. The projects were developed under the
field of expertise, involving laboratory tracer
experiments of flow and solute transport, field
data collection, and numerical modelling. Her
areas of interest are hydrogeochemisty,
groundwater quality, groundwater pollution,
protection and rehabilitation of aquifers and
transport of pollutants in groundwater.
